Assurance in God's Presence

We often grope for assurance of our security against circumstances that no one can take away from us. Probably the reason why we hedge ourselves with achievements thinking it will one way or the other secure us as a person. Wealth has been as old as time in being an apparent shelter from insecurity, and so is a successful career. Wealth, career and many more means of security are not bad at all or there should be no negativism attached to them.

However, these won't be able to provide to us the sense of security we would ever seek for. It's going to be a never ending search and struggle to find sense of security, until we fully acknowledge our limitations and relinquish to God our need of Him. This is the reassurance we need to realize as vital as our oxygen to our breath, as light to vision and as Vitamin D to our bones

It is good that we know God, but it makes a whole lot of difference if we practice His presence in our life. That deep joy in the midst of troubles can really give us that assurance of hope, that behind those dark clouds is the light of the sun to keep us guided in the path we are heading. In His presence, co-exist everything else we need to get assured at all times even the flow of the current is against us.
